I saw Your post, I lack general experience but I did take 2 years of video game design in high school. Coding and scripting was my bread and butter (but I was self taught so there is a limit it was more interpretation and modification than anything) , but there are still many things i feel I need to learn I am on the fence about shelling out for a collage degree (this is something I want to learn in my spare time) in such a competitive field so I feel it is better to work with people on projects that are material so that my merits can speak for themselves in the event I can make a career out of it. A game will say far more about a persons abilities than a costly(in terms of money and time) degree will my issue is finding a teacher and the right study materials when it comes to this field (I'm a more hands on learner but i need to know what to look for) I believe institutions have little value and hold too few guarantees (regardless of the actual quality of education it's like an art school in terms of the actual value a degree will hold)

I want to learn and hone my skills to an extent where a degree is a non-issue (but I do want to pick up some certifications when I get the chance, the money, and the knowledge)

if you will take me I would be very grateful
