Hello aspiring indie devs!

I'll jump right into it, I'm looking for those who are well versed in a wide variety of skills (programming, 3D modeling, sound design, etc) who are looking to make a real commitment and take their dream of being an independent developer into reality. So who are and what do we want to do?

We are currently nothing more than a duo. A programmer and sound designer/composer with a heavy background in computer science and a visual artist who is formally trained in everything from sculpting to drawing. We have a vision of making games with heavy emphasis on atmosphere, heavy emphasis on exploration of more fluid methods of game development that divert from the traditional approach most AAA titles use, and creating games that serve a purpose and to make statements about broad far reaching topics. We're looking for not just individuals with talent and passion, but individuals who also question everything from social constructs to the very state of our species psychologically. We are not anti-religious (well... a little), but we are definitely anti-brainwashed and pro-free thinking.

So what are we looking to do? And when? Well, that really all depends on who we find. If any of this sounds enticing, shoot us an email and we can talk via Skype. We're (ideally) looking for people who wouldn't have an issue picking up and REALLY committing. By this we mean finding an affordable area somewhere in Oregon or Washington to rent a large house in which we would live as somewhat of a "collective" in that we would work part time jobs, take contract work, etc in a way that sustains us but doesn't inhibit dedication to development. The idea being, that even if we're working 20-25 hours a week, you get home and are in a house of other developers. You pound some coffee and use each other's inspiration to drive us forward towards finishing some titles and (hopefully) pulling in some actual income doing what we love. This wouldn't be a house of gamers, we're looking for those with an adult mentality who derive far more satisfaction from creating games than from playing them.

In terms of actual development we plan to use Unity (for licensing reasons) with C#. We may wind up doing some more experimental game development so knowledge of things like webGL (with Three.js), c++, etc.
