Hello everybody,

My name is Isaac, the CEO/Creative Director/Lead Story Designer at upcoming game development studio, Rustic Bread Studios (pretty great name, right?), and we're looking for all the help we can get! Read below for all details:

WHAT IS RUSTIC BREAD STUDIOS?

Rustic Bread Studios is an up & coming indie game studio dedicated to providing great storytelling and gameplay mechanics to the gaming industry. Storytelling will be at the forefront of most of our games (with the odd exception of some classic, old-fashioned story-less fun), but we will also be dedicated to making sure our games have fun and compelling gameplay mechanics! Sound good to you?

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

At the moment, we are looking into various different types of games and stories we would love to bring to the world of gaming. These ideas all belong to various genres, and upon building our team, we would love to discuss and expand on any and all of them, as well as anything new members bring to the table, in order to come up with a game the whole team would enjoy making!

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

So, what exactly is RBS looking for?

- Programmers: We are currently looking for programmers of all varieties. As we have not decided on the project's specifics yet, we have not yet chosen an engine and language to make the game in. This will be something the entire team will discuss in order to choose the best fit for what we want to make

- Artists: We're looking for artists of all disciplines - 2D, 3D, Pixel, Abstract, everything in between - to help bring our games to life. The artists will be in charge of multiple tasks, from concept to modelling assets for the project

- Sound engineers: We will be looking for people to be in charge of sound effects, voice actor casting, and everything else in regards to sound in the project. We will not be hiring VA's until further along in the project, so that is not an overly important aspect of the role for the time being

- Writers: Writers will be working closely with me to ensure the lore and story of the project is compelling, consistent and well-written. As a writer, you will be in charge of writing storylines, quests [should we opt with a video game with a quest system], lore and dialogue

We will choose a Head of each division based on who we think the most suitable applicants are for the job. The heads of each division will be required to keep close communication with myself and Jasper Matthews, Assistant Creative Director, with the progress, suggestions, ideas and complaints of their division. The team will be relatively small for the time being, so this should be mostly stress free. If you are interested in being a head of the division, please say so in your application.

HOW DOES PAY WORK?

For the time being, you will be UNPAID. However, once we have enough to show potential backers, we will take to crowdfunding platforms to raise funds for the continued production of the game. Upon the game's release, employees will be rewarded to a pre-determined cut of the royalties from the game's sales.

To Apply

If you are interested in applying, please send the following to hellfire063@gmail.com as soon as possible:

- Everyone: An application including name, age, location, interested position, a brief description of yourself, how often you could commit to working on the project per week
- Programmers: A list of languages you are proficient in, a demonstration of your work
- Artist: A description of styles you are proficient in, some samples of your artwork
- Sound Engineers: Send examples of audio recordings you have captured to prove the quality of your audio skills
- Writers: A short story, report, script, or any other form of writing [note: Grammar and punctuation DOES matter]
