Hey.

I am looking for a programmer or two who would like to embark on an experiment.

The idea is a sprite based first person shooter, first, because I hate 3d modelling/animation, second because it'd be interesting to harness modern hardware with this old style of graphics/game play.

With modern RAM and graphics technology we don't have to worry about frame rates, or how large the level size is; so can really focus all our energy on making an incredible game world and experience.

I have a vague idea of what I'd like to do, but don't really feel comfortable publicly stating it here; but to give you an idea, it'd be non-linear and very open ended, FPS/RPG type deal.

Am not looking to make a DOOM clone; but would like it to have the cybernetic/demon type feel to it, because it works so well and allows for a very wide range of story telling to be done.

Mix that with cyber punk, and you get a good idea of where this is going.

I'm an artist, with music, and level design experience to boot; so don't worry about that side of things.

I personally have years of experience as an artist, and am trained in classical animation; I also spent years of my childhood building endless amounts of levels in DOOM, and the BUILD engine, along with sprite based animation experiments, and Flash animation shorts.

Eventual goal would be Green Light on Steam, and all that comes with it.

First and foremost though is crafting a quality experience and a digital work of art.
