Server Engineer- Full time
Location - Dubai

A two month old Venture backed start-up, aiming to make the next big hit on the mobile/tablet free-to-play market. We are a high energy, ambitious team with very high game quality standards. Think Gate Software have funding to develop and publish several large scale projects over the next 5 years, our team is currently working on our first title to be soft-launched December 2015.

Current game in development: a free-to-play MMORTS for mobile and tablets, which has semi real time play features and focuses heavily on team strategic play.
Job Description:
Primary role:
We are looking for an experienced server engineer to handle the entire back-end needs of our game which relies heavily on online and semi real time play features, tasks range from designing, implementing and maintaining the servers’ software.
Secondary:
General unity3d programming, depending on the project’s needs could range from game play programming to polish touches.
Contribution to the game design, art direction and features of the game, as all our team members contribute in these aspects.
Requirements:
• A passion for making games that will be delivered for millions of people. As well as playing games.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services.
• Unity experience or general game programming experience.
• A feel for what looks and feels good in a game; since we are a small team we rely on all team members to contribute to the entire development process of the game.
A huge plus if you:
- if you worked on an mmorts browser or mobile game before.
- If you have experience working with a big free to play game company
