We are a development team, SOL team, working on a game called SOL inspired by mature themes. We aren't worried about group size or constraints, there is a particular kind of theme, but do not feel afraid to work outside those boundary lines and explore your talents and creativity.

Our target platform is P.ersonal C.omputer, at the moment consoles aren't a priority...but perhaps in the future.

As it stands we also have no funding unfortunately.

In summation about plot, the game follows a character's life and story up until it ends or moves on, and them after their chapter the next chapter begins with a new character whose life was affected by the last.

Genre- science-fiction
The game deals primarily with genetics, race, the idea of perfection, war and war-crimes, prison, insanity, and the lives of other characters within the story.

Looking for:
Musicians, coders, character designers, artists, project managers, user interface-asset designers, editors-writers, character writers, advertisers-marketers.

Engine - Clickteam Fusion, Two-Dimensional platformer game,
(to put things into perspective, we really wished to do the game in Unity, since we have many assets and models, however it would be time expensive. The project team is small and the goal is to finish the game by at least one estimated year.)
Also Twine is being used to create a small promotional free game as a form of advertisement and to introduce the main story to players hopefully to get them interested.

We may be working with Patreon or Kickstarter after the first four months, when things stabilize and we have got our feet moving in the right direction.

My experience: Limited, I have worked on a few projects that have fizzled out due to people leaving, lack of ambition, or other factors, so I decided to work solely on this project and bring people together with me.
I am the lead designer creating all the artwork and assets, including but not limited to U.ser I.nterface.

If you are new and inexperienced, consider joining, learning new skills, and adding to your resume, and-or making many games ahead. (Sequels?)

We are not overtly worried about your base skills, if you have none, or if you have a lot to offer. This will be a democracy, where we vote on ideas to be worked on first, that said, ideas with no votes will still be implemented, no idea is a bad one. We do not want to stifle the creativity of a person's willingness to create and imagine.

The game will be inspired by a plethora of different games, notably the Souls Series, League Of Legends, M.U.G.E.N. games, and much more. IF you are an adult game developer or a regular developer, do not be afraid to join the project or give your input and suggestions.

A large portion of work has been done on this.
We need writers and those willing to edit and create characters.

Also if your art style doesn't mesh with the current style of the game, don't be afraid to still contribute we won't fault you for it, actually it will only add a richness to the game as it stands.
Those willing to create, those willing to work in a fast paced, but friendly and cooperative environment are entirely able to join, the only requirement is that at the very least you suggest ideas, and are willing to learn and grow.

The goal is to make a game and hopefully a gaming studio.

A bit of the artwork in development: Drive.google.com

No matter who you are we need you.

The game is broken up into chapters, and a story-line can always be included by "you" the developer, so if you ever want to come forth with a story-line idea, despite the timeline, it can be worked on. A lot of chapter art and work is done. The G.ame U.ser I.nterface isn't yet done, but given our progress it should be a few days.

The task right now is to create a skeleton and rush towards a stable, bare bones state, and then once achieved we will slow down and begin to fill-in the structure we have made with content.

If you have suggestions for improvement of the game, please do your best to implement them, write them down, or at the very least, suggest them to others...create an environment of collaboration and help one another.

SOL, it's the name of the game which will be made in a 2D layout, the game will be broken up into chapters as well as level for the same of time, ease, and productivity.

The times originally spanned from 1950s-t0-2122, but we may be beginning the game in B.C., but an outline is finished.

I am your project leader, Q'own Lam Son, A.lso K.nown A.s: Q.

All proceeds will be divided evenly when the game is put up for sale to remaining members.
I intend to make the game with high quality in a competitive market and to advertise responsibly, so we can expect moderate to respectable profits from the game seeing as how we are an independent group, SOL team.

We expect to finish the game in (Realistically.) a year.

The game is about what it means to be perfect, is there an end to it, socially genetically, culturally, economically, is there an end to it and the pursuits and the melancholic quests of people and the journeys they go through to reach that destination and how others and the world reacts to that.

The story spans multiple time lines, and will be a 2D platformer.
I'll work only my hardest to do this by myself, if you help me....I'd appreciate it so much.

The story follows multiple characters, there is no one main character.

The fragility of our lives, the flame burns quickly at both ends, that's what the story tries to convey, but there is action, romance, guns, death, gore, things people have to face in real life and the game will explore very mature topics.
Is there an end to perfection? Or do risk staying as we are?
This project seeks a to grasp a large audience.

In all honesty it's well known that many of you will leave this game or join and not put in effort, or feel afraid to put in effort and be absent during the development process...I just hope you at least learn something. The group will not tolerate laziness and absenteeism. For those willing to make a game, even if your only skill is artwork, it's alright to join us. It will be hard. It will be stressful. It will be difficult project and after all it's a game, making a game...well, it's not entirely easy, but I implore you -- please join us. We need people like you. We truly do.

In the end, I plan that this group sticks together in the long run, makes more games and becomes a dev' team for years to come. This isn't just a game to me, SOL is a big project and we will be making a sequel....even after the game comes out, we may still be working on it to make it better while we work on the sequel. Everything can be improved further.

Even if all you have to offer is a web address, morale support... I'd be grateful to have you.
-- Your's truly Q'own Lam Son.

P.S.: If you have disabilities or you feel scared or nervous about joining, don't be, you can join, if you still feel scared, don't be afraid to join at any time while we are working on the game, there is no time window.

If you wish to apply my Electronic-mailing address is "qolajo@gmail.com", but please, be ready with a resume and portfolio of work you can do and work you have done in the past.

I will not lie, a lot of the game is in early development and bare-bones at the moment, but we are working on it religiously and a mini-game for the game has already been made called Ray: Drive.google.com

We can communicate by Email, Slack, Trello, or Discord, primarily a majority of the team is using Slack.

To Apply

If you are interested in the position please send an email here: "qolajo@gmail.com", if you are interested, I'd like to request that you see our art style first.
