Vendetta Online is a 3D space combat MMORPG for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS, as well as the Oculus Rift. This MMO permits thousands of players to interact as the pilots of spaceships in a vast universe. Users may build their characters in any direction they desire, becoming rich captains of industry, military heroes, or outlaws. A fast-paced, realtime "twitch" style combat model gives intense action, coupled with the backdrop of RPG gameplay in a massive online galaxy. Three major player factions form a delicate balance of power, with several NPC sub-factions creating situations of economic struggle, political intrigue and conflict. The completely persistent universe and detailed storyline add to the depth of immersion, resulting in a unique online experience. A true, continuously-updated indie MMO, Vendetta Online has always been built by a team of only four people. With gameplay, engine or art updates nearly weekly since 2002, the title is constantly evolving.
Great game!
Good community willing to answer questions, very involved and committed developers, trading/mining/manufacturing/pve are all available but pvp is second to none. The game is not super-polished and has a sandbox feel in some areas, but this is actually part of its appeal as it allows a bit more freedom of play.
I've played the game since December 2015, and have been involved in the community non-stop. Its available on many platforms, and the gameplay lacks unnecesary frills that bog down and weaken other space games. VO has a massive persistant universe (All shared between the platforms), and the devs are always listening to player feedback and occasionally engaging with the community itself. I look forward to what the future of VO brings.
