EXPERIENCE THE REALTIME INTERACTION IN A MOVIE At its core Stay Dead is a 'round beat'em up' like Street Fighter with elements taken from rhythm games. The brand new idea behind Stay Dead is to have a real time interaction inside a cinematographic scene, using the main character as if he would be a videogame character. Stay Dead is the union of movies and videogames. Finally, the sound and graphic quality of a movie joins effectively the interaction of a next generation videogame, creating a unique and involving game experience. LIBERTY OF ACTION In Stay dead, even if the graphic is entirely shot in real life, you can move your character and you can perform more than 150 different techniques distributed in 5 stages. Use all the classic moves of the fighting games, just watch the result of your stunts with a never seen before spectacularity that just a real life shot with a cinematographic direction can provide.

Stay Dead Demo Available

News

We made an odd kind of game, because its basic idea is 'the real time interaction inside an action movie scene'. But it is NOT a graphic adventure, a laser game or an interactive movie, it is a REAL ARCADE-ACTION GAME.

Stay Dead is our attempt to let you interact in real time inside an action B movie scene, like if you could be 'Chuck Norris' or 'Bruce Lee' in one of their movies. We tryed to capture that kind of feeling (starting from the strange and colorful foes).

In this demo You can play against one foe in one scenario with one martial art style.

If you like this hybrid gamplay, half beat'em up and half rhythm game, in the full version you will find five foes and more than 150 martial art techniques.

Very well done for indie game and original use of QTE! Though wayyy too difficult to beat the last guy.

What a crappy, yet oddly intriguing genre. Even as a kid I never liked them. There's just something about FMV that keeps calling me back every once in a while. I might give this a shot. But if the fighting didn't look so amateurish, I wouldn't be so hesitant.

This game looks interesting.
I was really into street fighter games and martial arts when I was a kid.
Fighting is what got me into the gym where I worked out, and had the time of my life.
It is where I met Rob and discovered that I am gay.

This game really brings back some great times and feelings with Rob...

Thanks for the memories. i might buy this game tonight, and see if it brings back old times.

Most games on Desura have stand-alone releases on /download page: Indiedb.com so you don't need the Desura client at all to buy & play games.
