Overview:
Multiplayer uses Game Center for match-making and to connect players.
To join a multiplayer match each player will have to invest 20 Research Points. The winner of a match will take all, effectively taking away 20 Research Points from the losers pool. If one side quits in the middle of a game, the remaining player will automatically be declared winner. This is to discourage leaving a game once started.
You also have limited time during your turn -- 90 seconds to be exact. After the time runs out, your turn will end and the other side will be able to act.
Multiplayer matches also feature a Chat Menu as you can see in the screenshots below:
