Seul.(Alone) is a philosophical thriller, containing horror elements. A subsistence where characters dwell. It is a choose your own adventure type of game but there are mysteries to solve and connections to unfold. Journey through here but remember you may not stay. Looking deeper at Seul.(Alone) it is a philosophical thriller, meaning it is a thriller based on thrilling philosophical ideas and contains horror elements. From nihilism, existentialism, surrealism, solipsism and absurdism. A narrative told with these ideas kept in mind. I wanted to play on these thoughts but also present some Lynchian kind of world where nothing makes much sense at first glance but as one adapts to it, when it manages to invade itself into you. You begin to see that mostly everything is staged within the game for a reason, a motivation sits behind every image and sentence.

History

Seul.(Alone) The entree. came into existence through Nick one of Paranormal Game Studios founders wanting to stretch his fingers and do a bit of side writing as an exercise on downtime. As the weeks went on the story and ideas put forth developed by themselves. Nick developed the world of Seul within the fiction of another game we have been working on called Le Crumbs. The world of Seul sits somewhere inside and behind the world of Le Crumbs.

However Seul(Alone) stands on its own merits and a completed story has been thought through.

Releasing in three parts, well three courses of dining experience for the mind and imagination, for reasons kept secret at the moment. Seul(Alone) is a journey into the things one would usually hold back from expressing. But it will all unfold on itself as the meal continues.
