I tried the demo and found it ok...
Soldier 12 does not bring more than older games of that type (Ikari warrior for instance), except updated sound and graphics.
But that does not necessary make a top notch must have game.
A little clunky feeling at first, but I've enjoyed it all the way to the end. I love Commando/Mercs/Ikari Warriors type games.
If you're playing single player, you're partner gets killed at the beginning of every level, it's hilarious!
Something about these guys games.... I can keep pulling them out and playing through them over and over when I'm bored.
If you can't have fun with it, you suck. The voices are awesome! "WhYYYyyyyYY!!"
I think I was almost offended at first, with ammo boxes labelled "Stuff" and the goofyass voices...... I grew up with Commando, Ikari Warriors, and Mercs, which looking back now, they all took themselves too seriously. Especially Mercs.
I like the James Bond 'evil guys' lair' inspired backdrops as well, I hope they make a sequel.
I received this game initially as a gift from the developers, they're cool... I bought it today though, feeling guilty for all the fun I've had with it and it only being 3 bucks. I am on my 3rd play through!
