A trip to hell - Arcade style! A father's journey to hell to save the souls of his wife and child. Insanity's Blade: The Chronicles of Thurstan is the first in a series of games based around the journey of a sword possessed by a father's powerful grief and hatred. The first game is the tale of the swords creation.
Well we have the game finished for PC,LINUX and MAC. But now there are a ton of additional features!
We will now have a selectable 8-bit or 16-bit soundtrack, all side quests are in game and some are mandatory in order to progress through stages of the game, 6 hidden selectable weapons for Thurstan and 3 for Finn!
So with the addition of the mandatory quests, the game got a lot longer. We have about 9 new playable stages on top of the original 16! New bosses, new items... tons of stuff!!
The demo is only single player but contains the first Island in the game which has 4 main stages and 3 side quests! Instructions are in the files. Please report any bugs to info@causalbitgames.com
Thank you for your patience and the release is coming next week!!

We talk about the major bug we've encountered during our testing and the additional gore we've added while in the code with pictures!
The official Insanity's Blade gameplay trailer as well as a bit of news about the release of the game!
Completely rebuilt stages, tons of additional graphics, better enemy graphics... sound and the real sound track!
We are now officially a Nintendo approved developers and have two games lined up for Wii U...
This game is out on Steam now! :) Store.steampowered.com
Do you have enough funding for a Wii U version, or why did you add it to the list of target platforms?
We were approved by Nintendo for development on Wii U just recently! We will be releasing the game on Wii U.
Awesome, reminds me NES past yeasr of glory.
Ideas like surfing moutain down on monster backs is great :)
On two last pictures, the boss or background seems to have been made in photoshop, it looks no more retro pixel and the mix with character retro pixel look is now strange.
Keep up the good work.
Really starting to all come together now!
Looks really nice. Reminds me little bit on GoldenAxe and GhostsAndGoblins. Voting. Good luck on steam :)
Thanks! Funny you said GnG, I've just added a nod to the puking ogre guys! My pukers are nuns in the church stage though and they can puke towards you, not just down! Thanks for the kind comments!
The game is looking great so far. I'll back you on Kickstarter. Good luck!
@rodmanix Thank you kindly for the support!! We're working hard to make it an awesome retro experience!!
For some reason it reminds me a lot of Legendary Axe from the PC Engine TurboGrafx 16. Nice work guys real nice pro feel to the design.
Thanks! When I was a kid I always thought Legendary Axe was too much like an Nintendo game (aside of bigger graphics). But it's one my favorite TG16 games now! Thank you for the kind words!!
