Because We May Sale

News 9 comments

Developer Independence is a fantastic thing. Being able to control the prices for your games needs to be celebrated. We here at DesuraNET believe that as a developer you should have the freedom to do as you please, and it seems we are not the only ones who share such ideals.

Because We May is a sale collective of developers from different websites, devices and genres that have set low prices for the last week of May. Why? Because they can.

Here are a few of our favorites and recommendations for you:

If you want to be apart of the awesome gathering of developers simply fill out this form and discount your game as much as you want! Then just comment in this post and I will update the list!

If I buy the direct-purchase version, can I get a Desura key?

Is there any way to play this on windowed mode?

Pardon this late reply, but I recently discovered a trick and just tested it in Explodemon a few minutes ago.

Pressing Alt+Enter appears provide a workaround by forcing the program into a window. (In Windows Vista, anyway.) This seems to solve my brightness issues as well since I can use my desktop settings.

(BTW, this also seems good for games that cause monitor frequency errors before the option screen can be used to change the display.)

Any chance for in-game brightness controls? My monitor and videocard are as high as they can go, but I still have trouble seeing much more than highlights.

Surround sound (headsets at least) cause this game to crash.

Can't get this game to start while having a USB-headset connected, and since that is my only source of sound, the game is a bit to quiet while playing. The game stops responding just before entering the first menu. I'm running i on Windows 7 x64 and using a Corsair Venegence 1500 headset. Some help would be delihting.

P.S. Great game tough! just sucks that my sound won't work...

Hi - sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with your headset! If it's a Logitech G35 headset, there's a known issue between the Logitech drivers and FMOD (the sound library used by Explodemon).

We're looking into the problem, but G35 users might be able to work around the problem by using your integrated soundcard as a default device: Tinyurl.com

Saw your post and decided to test a few things and found out that setting my headset to regular stereo vs surround sound fixed the crashing.
