ENDCIV is a post-apocalyptic city building game. Lead a small group of people to build a settlement and make it rise to a thriving city which others like to visit. But with wealth comes greed, various threats will challenge you on your way. Keeping a city alive and satisfy all the needs of your citizens will be challenging. Food, water, energy and building material is limited and is connected to environmental conditions such as animal population, rain, wind and daytime.

Today I have implemented a garden. Each plant needs water to grow, without water it slowly dies. While a plant grows it generates food and can be harvested. The longer it grows the more food it holds, but once it is fully developed it only lasts for a given time.
The simulation works fine already, now we only have to tell the people how to use the garden.

...And then the heatstorm swept through the area before your farmer could harvest them all. Your ragged band of survivors starved to death and such is the life in Endciv. :D

Plants need water and that is what is most important to the citizens. If it doesn't rain for a while then watering plants must be planned.

Lack of resources gets even more difficult if you start to have animals in town. They need both, food and water.

On the other side you can always try to achieve large stocks for bad times.

And maybe we will calculate ray tracing shadows to determine how much light hits the plant...
