An Adventure – RPG game with management and worldbuilding elements taking place in the expansive world of Azuran, a land of mystery, magic and ancient history.
This is the game we have been working on for more than a year now - Azuran Tales: The Outpost. As the description says it's an Adventure - RPG with management and world-building elements - this means exploring and fighting is just as important as managing your outpost, crafting and upgrading your buildings.
The game combines a classic RPG adventure in full 3D environment with the complexity of an old school base management game - you have to manage your outpost and upgrade your buildings, keep your mercenaries morale high, craft the best weapons and armor you can for them and, when the time is right - take charge of a party of your choosing, your best and brightest, and explore the most dangerous places the world of Azuran has to offer.
Returning to the management part of the game, there are multiple elements to take into account:
- Follower management - recruit and train followers, equipt them, keep their morale high and even recover them from the brink of death with the help of your local necromancer;
- Base management elements - upgrade your building constantly to keep up with the growing demands of an expanding army;
- Resource management - keep an eye on your resources, as you need them to craft weapons and armor, to go on adventures or to upgrade your buildings. You can obtain more by restoring and upgrading the mines on the territories you conquer.
Once you have everything set up it's time to put those followers to good use, and there are 2 ways of doing this:
Missions - it's the less involving part of the game, you just send your followers and expect their return with the spoils, hopefully.
Adventures - it's all hand on deck now - you take full control of a party of your followers and go explore cold dark dungeons, thick endless forests, intricate mines and much more.
And this concludes our short presentation of the game. Hope you like it and we would like to hear from you with comments, suggestions, question, etc.
