Awaken is underwater shmup game whitch takes place on planet Neptune, miles below its ice surface. Player is member of Kraken squadron and commands on of the Orca class submarines. Campaign ll contain five missions where players can earn credits to spend them for ship upgrades while docked at Leviathan class mothership. After the storyline is completed there will be challenges and endgame levels where players can compete for highest scores and unique pieces of equipment.
Overall has a lot of potential with only a few drawbacks. Made a video on it cause I love bullet hells. This explains everything I feel about it.
The game has a load of potential with its presentation. I personally love the alien-looking underwater environment, kind of like Abyss or SeaQuest turned into a shmup. There are some issues with the controls being floaty in the currently available alpha, but hopefully they have been ironed out in the new vertical screen version.
