Here is the work that is being done on the menu and crafting system for Adventure Craft!

Now that I have been working on the outside environments for a while, we decided to go ahead and start on the "crafting" and "structure building" aspects of the game. You will be able to gather all sorts of items in Adventure Craft that can be chopped up, crushed down and combined to create weapons, armor, ammo and lots of other fun stuff. Below are a few of the many items that will be available. Saplings, bundles of sticks, rock, skulls, coal, and gold bars etc...

So the first thing that we need is an inventory menu. After looking at the menus and crafting systems of other games in the survival game genre this is what I have come up with so far. The Player's loadout is on the left. You just drag the item that you want to equip onto the slot and boom its equipped Diablo style.

The player will be able to equip a primary and secondary weapon, a shield depending on whether they are carrying a one or two handed weapon, and a throw-able item like a grenade or a bomb. The inventory in the middle with sections for different types of loot, and a crafting menu on the right for manipulating and combining items that can be made by hand. Here you will also be able to access your pet's inventory and set a special power if you have one.

At the bottom the player will be able to equip quick use items like potions or magic spells and see their health. The menu is still a work in progress.

"Advanced Crafting" will be done using one of the various crafting tables in the game. Here are images of the forge, the enchanting table and the workbench. More to come later on crafting as we work out the details.
