Using pictures from old mod Thread

Hello, I'm currently writing a story on another webpage and would like to use a certain picture for the cover page. The picture is from a 6 year old HL2 mod, so I would like to ask whether or not it would be acceptable for me to use the picture for my cover page and credit the guy who made the mod, or if I should not.

Hello, well, you would have to ask the original creator of that, to avoid issues popping up further down the road.

The issue is that the creator doesn't seem to have an account anymore, or it was deleted. I searched through the Members section and didn't find anyone with his username, and his name in the mod doesn't link to a profile.

I suggest not to use this image. Who knows when that creator returns and complains about it? Also other people who knows might start argument in your webpage so it's best to avoid unnecessary argument by not using this image
