Hey there fellow roamer, My name's Andrei, an aspiring artist/designer from Transylvania, and i'm starting an independent team/company called Beyond Entertainment, with the first game, an RPG title, the first chapter of a saga, that will be part of a Looking for an programmer, an Unreal Programmer. The basic factor behind my motivation for this bold plan , is that, after playing for I've been working on this game for a while, so far there is: -3 out of 4 areas done (~75% of level design) -All the humanoid characters, their clothes and some weapons modeled , textured and rigged. -A pack of 1500 human animations compatible with all the humanoid characters. -One of the creatures finished, rigged, with animations. -All the UI is fully designed, 50% of the graphics are finished, 50% are placeholders that can still be implemented. -Destructibles, Physics, Water Packs (Unreal Marketplace) -Extensive 120 page GDD. For the skeptics: Yes these are all true. You will see all the screenshots you need if you're interested in the project. The mechanics of the game are similar to Gothic/Skyrim. 3D first/third person rpg. Core ideas include: -Advanced interesting puzzles. Exploration and thinking will be rewarded plenty. (in How is the game going to stand out? -Secrets. A ton of secret areas, hidden rooms, riddles and mysteries. Since most new games i've played just don't focus on this enough, I decided to give this thing justice. -Style. A dark, gothic, fantasy style, that is the exact opposite of the wowish, toonish goofy style that most casuals and peasants , and the majority of the population seems to love these days. I will fight to no ends to give that justice. -Complexity. Every piece of the level is carefully handcrafted, designed to fit with the rest of the layout , every item is designed to fit as a piece of the puzzle, and to add to the game-play in a unique way, everything is deeper than meets the eye. Every system has a lot of parameters to play with, thus all of these create the beginning of a rich grand world waiting to be explored. -The combat system. This is what I stand for. I'm looking for a programmer that actually shares these ideals and start making history. This sounds like a dream come true, but I know that to actually achieve all this, there has to be a gut-wrenching amount of hard work behind it. No, really. An upsetting amount of it. A crazy amount of hard work. But it's worth it. Anything of great value requires sacrifice. At this point, I am looking for a talented (Unreal) programmer that shares my vision, to join I've already started working on it, and done ~75% of the assets (yes it's true), and have an extensive Here you can see an ingame location, and some UI early concept, like inventory system, Another important thing would be the talent(skill) system, featuring a 3D sphere where One of the characters: Item rarities: Of course this first game won't be the size of skyrim, the idea is to bring a certain vision to life in a demo/ish 2-6 hour first chapter, a few quests, a beginning to a story I am also doing a comic book chapter which serves as a prequel to the game's story, and we can use it in promoting and on kickstarter as a reward. Ideally should have Unreal experience. At first, we're gonna focus on only doing the stuff needed for the Kickstarter, and sell the idea to the public. Recently I've acquired an extensive pack of character animations for the already rigged characters, which will save an enormous amount of time. So if you feel my vision and want to know more, and think you can bring this project to Skype: andyblahblah1 or PM I am also looking for a sound designer. Will look more into that after finding a programmer. Also if you're just generally interested in the project I'm also open to that, to This is just the beginning. |
