Who We Are

Our current team consists of professionals, hobbyists, and members that want to learn a new skill. We also have Historians who are working on the Scandinavian and Germanic history for this project. Some of us also worked on previous projects with other teams, only most of them failed because of bad leadership, something we’re not planning to do. Eventually, we hope to release big titles, whereof most of them are set in the same universe and in the same style as this one.

The Project

The project we’re working on is a period based RPG game set in 9th century Denmark with a Nordic historical and mythological storyline. For the map we’re taking inspiration from games like Skyrim and Fallout 4, so there's a lot to do in the world, however things like combat, story, etc, are nothing like those games; for example in those games melee combat is pretty much just only slashing and blocking, in our game we want things like dodging, parrying, timed attacks for bonus damage, timed blocking for bonus defence and all that; and the story, for example in those games you don't really have to focus on the main storyline because you can do pretty much anything at any time anyway, in our game you'll have to complete certain quest from the main storyline to unlock some side quests, maybe locations, etc. Hunting should also be a big part of the game, so there have to be a lot of creatures you can hunt, like bears, rabbits, and deer, but also monsters from Scandinavian folklore and mythology, like draugr, trolls, and lindworms.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for dedicated and motivated members who can join us. We are not just looking for professionals, our team also offers the ability for people to learn a skill while working on the project, like if you want to learn to program you’ll first get some simple tasks with tutorials if you need them and the more experience you get the harder the tasks you’ll get, and if you’re stuck on something we'll try to help you in any way we can. Hobbyists and game enthusiasts are also welcome and will share the same benefits of working with us. We are also looking for a lead in most categories, the lead doesn’t have to be the best in their category, but they have to know the best what's supposed to happen for this project, like if you were, for example, the lead in programming you will have to give every programmer in the team tasks, and also sometimes add/change/remove things on Trello, you'll also need to listen to ideas from the other members and sometimes discuss with the other leads if an idea is good or even possible to do.
We are currently looking for:

  • Programmers
  • Level designers
  • 3D Artists
  • Graphic image designers
  • Animators
  • Audio Engineers
  • Writers
  • Concept artists
  • Eventually, voice actors when everything goes well.
  • Eventually a website and someone who can make one.
  • Eventually, someone who can regularly post things on our Facebook/Twitter once we create accounts for them.

Software We’re Using

Unreal Engine

Blender

Adobe Photoshop

We’re also open to other programs if you use something else.

Profits

Profits from this project will be divided fairly amongst members based on their position and on their efforts.
ExtraFor communication we use Discord, for to do lists Trello and for sharing files Google Drive.
