Porcentage efficiency of farms in BFME2 Thread

Hi, I'm not quite sure this is the board to post in, but it seemed appropiate. I need help doing a little calculation. For this calculation, I need to know how the game decides the percentage of productivity of a farm. I know this depends linearly on the amount of farms overall (source). But it obviously depends on the amount of surface area available and the amount of overlap and what not.

How does the game calculate this? Alternatively, where could I find this information in the game files?
