Hello, I am Gage Moody of Lore Interactive, a new upstart team working to create not only games of quality, but of meaning. We are looking for several positions for the team for out current project. All information and positions needed are below.

Here are company needs and requirements:

2D Artist-
We need someone skilled in 2D art, especially if you have good knowledge of making animations. Your job will be to create the animated story cut-scenes which are not presented in 3D, as well as be responsible for character and creature sketches. Coloring capabilities are optional.

Colorist-
Your job is to tie the images we have together, ensuring that the colors are blended correctly. Additional duties may include texture and environment design.

3D artist x2-
We need in game character and creature models as well as the environmental 3D design.

Coders x2-
Taking on two people who are skilled in coding. You'll be making the backbone of the game. Our game engine is Torque3D

------Things to know about the game:-----

Time Commitment-
The amount of time and effort you put into the game is as decided by you. We have our needs to make this work, but ultimately this is a chance for each of us to get in there and give our very best, to show the world who we are as artist of our own kind. My intended completion date is early 2016, so I hope to find all the pieces for the team that we need and put it together for a fantastic story and game.

Pay & Taxes-
I am starting a Kickstarter campaign for $9300. Every member on the team will receive $500 assuming that our project is funded. You are being considered as commissioned, and not an employee of Lore Interactive or me, all taxes owed to your government will be on you and I can't be held responsible for what you may owe.
The game is being released for free on Steam, using a portion of the money earned through Kickstarter.

The Story-
Titled The Epic of Lightsong.
The game is about a young Elf who was switched shortly after with birth with a child belonging to the royal family of Lightsong. Young Galexgan Lightsong has to deal with the grief that struck his adopted parents after the event. His mother died in grief by suicide and his father vanished after going on a hunt for his missing child. Only his adopted siblings accepted him and as the three siblings are all that is left of the ruling kingdom of Lightsong they learn to overcome their individual flaws and become the people that they need to be. The game is less about Galexgan's destiny, than it is his identity and who he chooses to become. He is jealous of his older brother, the rightful heir to Lightsong, as his brother is considered not only wise, but known to be kind, merciful, strong, confident, and uncorruptible. All things he wants to be but the pressure the kingdom gives him causes him to be jaded and unconcerned, allowing himself to be arrogant and prideful in the face of both those who love and accept him and who do not.
Those who do not care for him blame him as the cause for the queen's death, the king's disappearance, and ultimately the mystery behind the vanishing of the third blood-child of the royal family.
As unlimited power is presented to him time and again he has to face either a slow fade to corruption, or a struggle to become the man he truly wants to be. He has many flaws, but he has the potential to be someone great. There is a lot of political and moral intrigue involved alongside the general fantasy genre gameplay.

The Gameplay-
Drawing similarities from a top-down rpg like Diablo 3 and the simplistic ability controls of MOBAs like League of Legends, my intention is to work in to combine the elements to do something never seen before. Drawing inspiration from sandbox and strategy games with unit control, building construction, and magic abilities that actually shape and change the world around you permanently.

The Future-
My aim is to implement as many of these features as possible, but the story I want to tell cannot be accurately done in one game. Implementing all of these features is something I know will take time, and I look forward to the slow and eventual process of reaching our dreams for this.My final destination is to create an open world environment where the player can then tell the story of their own character. An online mmo where player crafted kingdoms ally or fight for land and resources. Player rulers struggle to defend and bring their people wealth. In the end, the political and moral intrigue of the world will be the player's own greed or desire to bring about good in the world of Lutheria.
As you can see, I have plans for the future. I hope to open an actual studio by 2020 in Orlando Florida in the USA where actual job positions can be offered, followed by future studios lead from elsewhere. Pay for each successive game is intended to double. So the next one in production will rise to $1k per person, and the one following to $2k. After that, my hope is to triple or quadruple the payments.

The Game Design Document-
We have a working GDD, however to receive it all must sign an Agreement of Non-disclosure. The information contained is vital to our game and cannot be released without permission. Inside you will find everything, from a world map, character artwork and info, as well as world lore.

Questions-
If you have questions about anything, feel free to ask them.

Thank you to all who have applied so far. I recognize that a lot of very talented composers and FX artists applied, I simply don't have time to respond to every single one but I thank you for offering your services.
