Good find, however that's an outdated survey. Glad you brought this up though because another survey was done (with over 500 audio professionals compared to 33) because of the lack of people surveyed and the results are pretty different |

Hey Matt, The Gamasutra article in my post does refer to that recent GameSoundCon survey already! :-) The old survey done by Gamasutra themselve was indeed quite misleading though; when I was reading the figures given there I was quite surprised as the audio incomes seemed to be much higher than what I would have expected. Like you said (and Gamasutra also admitted later), the group taking part in the first survey was both too small and also not very representative (senior/lead inhouse employees vs. freelancers).
