Hi All! I've been writing a lot of music over the last year or so that I will probably never use and was going to offer free downloads for Inde devs on low budgets. My question is - what kind of music would you find useful? How long? What style? Some examples maybe? I really want this to be useful to people and help improve your games Any feedback will be really helpful Cheers! |

I make puzzle platformers so I honestly would love to see some catchy but fairly calm music. I would also like to see some good action game fitting music, but in an 8 bit style. I can never find good royalty free music for my games so its cool to see someone asking what the community wants. |

Thanks for the replies. I just wanted to get a feel for what kind of projects people were working on really, as I have half written tracks in lots of different styles and wanted to finish the ones that would be most useful to people. I have contacted a few devs already but I thought this may be easier (although, now you say not so many use the forums possibly not!) My plan now is to release a free album to download through bandcamp. It may be a way off yet as I'm quite busy right now but will keep you updated when I've finished it @natefitzpatrick there should be a couple of puzzle-type tracks in there and most probably some action ones too. I'm still getting to grips with 8-bit but I'm hoping at worst to get some 30-60 second loops done @B-box drop me a message and I'll see if I can help you out |
