What do you think about this idea of a 2d fighting game?

History

" We live on Earth, where there are two governmental systems of two races in the world, they live in a war for power and utopia, they are: The Human and The Mods. 500 million citizens died a hundred years of pure destruction and genocide, among these were combatants (defending his government) and civil (often entire families), however, its leaders Mods and Human saw that this policy was not worth the fight lost and lives there during a conference between the two governments, in a brief moment of respite, on holiday or PD "Peace Day", which occurred in this Summit, a treaty was established, it is called "Treaty of Laikoz" - this treatise says that every two years there should be a tournament that will define the political method that will rule the earth, and it occurs in close combat, a time of genocide ends from there, and part of their people seek the martial art, before devalued, each leading their respective governments, Mods and Human, now in its first decision decide to restrict the use of firearms just for precaution, soon after this, the Mods and Human now join his races around the world and recruit teachers in martial arts, so in the early years, these teachers, being human or Mods will perform two functions, to win the tournament and to train large potential fighters to win their respective governments. Who will win this fight? Mods or Human?


Origin of Mods and Difference For Human In Combat

The difference between the Humans and the Mods in their appearance is almost no because Humans have created the Mods in laboratories, forming a stronger being that his intelligence had helped the humans until they self and decide what would be best for her or not race and later the world, but in general they are a little more robust than human, has a tough skin reducing damage and can not run directly, then in their methods to fight, then the Mods adhered mostly to the type of drive called "Dash", as Humans are fast and can Run freely, however we have a disadvantage, then they can not defend blows as effectively as the Mods.


Fight Modes

1 - Normal Mode Fight
2 - Hardcore Fight Mode - Humans are faster and Mods are more resistants
3 - Cage Fight Mode - Where you have to be equipped shoe and touch anywhere in cage takes shock and lose 2x more damage


Gameplay

1- Basic moves and attacks
2- Special Attacks and Special Attacks to finalization if you have low hp.
3- New drive systems like Double Hability or DH, new systems dodge. "

What do you think of this idea in mind and recorded that I have?

Why the huge loose backstory to justify such measly difference in fighting style?

Is your game only going to have 2 different types of fighters?

If not then you are likely going to need a bigger scope of variance than what you're describing. A bigger scope like some character being able to teleport or shoot fireballs is pretty much mandatory for an interesting fighting game (like Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Smash Bros) that doesn't fall into niche simulation genres like boxing. This special move range would make your planned differences between races seem quite trivial and very much over-explained.

No, the point is, this game will have something like tekken, i mean, "Arcade" and "Story Mode"(but telling deeper some details, like Ultimate Naruto Shippuden Storm), so that's the reason that we have a huge loose backstory, You gonna know what's really happening playing the "Story Mode". And no, that's not 2 different types of fighters, there are two types of playing(movements and dodge, for example), the race is to justify that. The Human and Mods have cappacity develop them unique style like they prefer, but, u may have something that has hability to fight using fireball like u said, or using a white weapon, or something like that.
