Hello to everyone!

Me and some mates of mine are developing a little game with Unity 3D. It's our first game and we had the idea of adapting the novel of Moby Dick into a visual novel.
In this game you're on your way to catch Moby Dick but all the crew member want to return to their home.
You play three character of the Pequod's crew. We thought to split the entire game in three little chapter, one for each of the character.
During this chapter the player have to speak with the other crew member to be able to know the previous facts of the journey and to know how they feel about this long journey. But in every chapter you can choose only 9 people of the entire crew to talk with, these are divided in 3 character for 3 day.
We put inside three tipe of choice that can be pick: the main choice to change course and return home, to go all the way and die, and the final one that involve the idea of killing Ahab.

I'll leave here the mockup that we thought for the game.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
I would be really grateful if you could leave some feedback about this project.

Thank you.

That's a rough basic concept but we have to start somewhere :)

Anyways, judging from mock up background, I assume the game would be point n click

My questions:

1. Three character to play with... that's a good idea. The question is are they related? or are they just random unrelated crews?

2. Can player choose order of playing from those three?

But in every chapter you can choose only 9 people of the entire crew to talk with

3. 9 people... how many crews are there in Pequod's crew ? I asked this cause if it's less than 27, player could talk to all of them before end of 3 chapters but if there were more, player would need to choose who to talk to. This is still related to next question

4. Would these crews have different dialogue in different chapter? that would affect gameplay if the answer is yes ;)

We put inside three tipe of choice that can be pick: the main choice to change course and return home, to go all the way and die, and the final one that involve the idea of killing Ahab

5. How would player get these choices? are they presented at end of 3 chapters regardless of what player do OR is player required to do couple things (e.g choose certain dialogue answers and do certain actions) to get some of them?
