Hello everyone! My names Mitchell Gibbs and I'm a composer for media, as well as an orchestrator & arranger. Having earned most my living from film work (animations, features films and short films) I've always wanted to make a move into video games, as an avid gamer myself. I've dabbled in the past and worked on titles such as Dead Crusade by Aesthetic Games, Battle Universe by Bad Bot Games and Orbis Aerden: Reign of the Accursed by Deadeyed Shade Games.
What can I offer your project?
You can review my work history and portfolio on my website: www.mitchell-gibbs.com. Or listen to be Demo Reel via Soundcloud.com. Thank-you for your time, and I hope you'll consider me for one of your up-and-coming projects! Very best, Mitchell Gibbs. Edited by: MitchellGibbsMusic |

So the sound on your site didn't work for me which I found odd. |

That's odd... Normally it doesn't work with mobile devices such as tablets, phones etc. I'm glad you found my music on SoundCloud ok, and even better, enjoyed it too! |

Hello Mitchell, if you are a working composer, I really think you shouldn't be offering your work for free, especially when you have spent a great deal of time and money putting together a professional studio with samples and equipment. In addition, you seem to be represented by a professional agency. I respect your effort to make headway in a new industry, but if someone of your caliber does this, it does nothing in the long run for the international community of composers, many of whom are finding it harder and harder to explain why their work needs to be paid for. You are free to completely ignore this, but I hope you will reconsider your strategy. -- Music Director |

Thanks for your comment, and don't worry, I don't work for free. I just wanted a platform to showcase my skills and network with indie developers. I've had my fair share convincing clients to pay for music... |

You know what, I'm so sorry - for some reason I thought your post contained stuff about working for free, but it appears I was mistaken. -- Music Director |

That's fine, don't worry I checked out your site 'Boston Scoring' - how does it compare price wise to that of recording in LA, London or Eastern Europe? |

It is more affordable than recording in LA, Seattle or Nashville. I can't say much about London because I'm not sure about the cost there. I think we may be on par or slightly more expensive than recordings in Eastern Europe, but then again, there's a great disparity in the standard of living. If you'd like more information, feel free to email us at info@bostonscoring.com If by London, you mean the LSO, then I'm pretty sure we're more affordable. -- Music Director |
