Can't comment in Japanese. Thread

Self explanatory. I've seen a japanese person comment in Japanese. I wanted to greet him, and tell him that I appreciate the mod he likes, too, but for some reason I cannot post the comment. I dont know if there is a thread for this, tough.

So, I get this red error message when I want to post my Japanese comment:

"The comment field may not contain words greater than 50 characters in length."

Plot twist: it's just about 20 characters. Clearly not 50.

I you know a solution, please help me.

Had this happen a few times. I get the feeling Moddb counts the characters in a way where the "ri" in "り" is two characters instead of one, which might mean a doubling of characters counted. Just a guess!

Yeah, I found it out, that's the solution. So I type in Japanese as if I would in English. With lots of spaces. あなたは　日本人　ですか。（笑）　Like this.

Ah, glad a solution's been found.
