Any body out there a really big fan of the old MOH games in particular Medal Of Honor Rising Sun. I am working to recreate the online portion of Rising Sun that was shut down years ago looking to see if any fans or former members of the community are out there. Would love to hear from you guys if you are familiar with the game.

I really enjoyed playing rising sun as well, and i also liked Medal of honor: Frontline. I hope you get to finish this project. Please make another one for medal of honor frontline but make it a standalone version based off id tech 3 if you can.

I never played Rising Sun TBH. I loved the original Medal of Honor released on the PSX years ago. What was so special about Rising Sun? (not being sarcastic, just wondering)

The fact that it had 4-player split-screen and bots for offline multiplayer action. It had great maps. It also had 2-player co-op campaign. But my most favourite old MOH game (including the pc games) was Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault because of the graphics, gameplay in both multi and singleplayer. How you could choos your own character skins, and the maps, although it was a bit stupid how you could any skin for any map because you'd be playing on omaha beach and you'd find winter soldiers running around a costal area. They should've done a soldier of fortune 2-like skin selection for team-based gamemodes for allied assault where you would choose a skin (depending on your team) from a little section of skins that are appropriate for the map.

My favourate map was marauders at midnight or whatever the heck it was called.

Played almost every one from the first one till Airborne, except the PSP ones and European Assault. Hard to say which I preferred. The originals have their own charm, Frontline stepped it up.
I did not like Rising Sun as much as the others. Initially it was great, jungle warfare and all, and the multiplayer was great. Just seemed a little rushed at times.
Airborne started going in the right direction with the cover system, and less linear levels, but would have great if they had the multiple missions per campaign like the previous games, with the airborne format somewhat.
Pacific Assault was okay, maybe it was because I played it on hard, it was actually a bit hard. Enemies were really accurate.
It always had great settings, like Nijmegan bridge, Arnhem and Wewelsburg.

Never played online, but be interesting to see the old maps again. Maybe we'll see a remake of the old MoH's. Don't think EA will ever put out a complete collection with ports of the first ones.
I liked that map with the bell tower, always used it as a sniper spot.

I think that medal of honor airborne could've been split-screen and it should've had bots. I think i know what map you're talking about with the bell tower and all, i think it like somewhere in the phillipines, (Well thats not what it's called i was just stating the location) but anyways my two favourite games in the series is Medal of honor: Airborne and Medal of honor: Allied Assault.

European assault was great by the way.

I used to play MOH: Frontline on my XBOX when I was younger (I still have this game :D) and I still play MOH: Allied Assault with both expansions on the PC. Allied Assault is in my opinion the best MOH ever made, the graphics, musical scores, gameplay and maps are amazing!

Musical scores are unreal good..

Also a welrod battle triumphs over any pistol shoot out you can have

Yeah s0v3t_on1on i agree with you there, although the skins could've used a little tweaking. The soldiers could've had more gear on and they should've added mag pouches to your player model, but the mag pouch that appears depends on your weapon that you've selected. The german helmet also looked a bit funny. Besides all of those minor downsides the game was awesome.

I used to quite like medal of honor back in day... Same with cod.. right until cod 4 and moh airborne. I'd say my favourite moh ever was Pacific Assault. Amazing game with such a great story to it. Some really innovative at the time squad mechanics too

I used to stay up all night and then get in a lot of trouble the next day for it. What a great game though, it was well worth it.

I played some of the MoH games when I was younger I had Frontline on PS2 although I don't think I played it that much since I wasn't in to first person shooters at the time. Later on the Wii I had Vanguard which I really liked. Most recently I got European Assault which I didn't like as much as Vanguard but I thought it was alright. As for the others I've never played them I may eventually get around to them in the future, I especially want to get Frontline again and Rising Sun.

Kept you waiting huh?

I played Allied Assault, Frontline, Rising Sun, European Assault and Vanguard.
Ratings: 5.Rising Sun
4.Frontline
3.European Assault
2.Allied Assault
1.Vanguard

I liked all of them but Rising Sun could be better so has Frontline, both had amazing things BUT they could be better, and if they made new WWII Medal of Honors it would be the best games of the year.
European Assault and Allied Assault are like tied, but European Assault for the time when it was made should have maybe more features from the Vanguard(i know Vanguard was made later but some features already existed)

I really like all of MoH series till Airborne.
