Lots of UTIII mods, shame that my pc can't handle it.

I'm building a friend a PC capable of running UT3 on max settings for somewhere in the neighborhood of $600. If you stick with an AM2 board you can easily get a screamer of a processor for dirt cheap, RAM is inexpensive and the 9800 GT is quite the budget card.

To be honest, the UT3 mods and AA's new release blew everything else out of the water. The Haunted and The Ball especially stand out, easily overshadowing the "editor's pick" by a long shot.

The reason the mod was selected as editors pick was due to really awesome marketing plan that the team behind portal prelude produced. No other mod this year has been that popular it was more a tip of the hat to the team, kudos to you!

Right below my post there will be a great battle fought between Valve fanboys and Valve hateboys (this happens always when a Source mod is released for some reason).

Shame the first 3rd party game mod released via Steam didn't get a mention. Especially considering that is using the Unreal engine also. :(

and to those commenting that they like the look of all the ut3 mods - that has definately been the whole point of ut3. you will not BELIEVE what is being done under various bonnets right now.

the best is definately yet to come!

much kudos to all the great teams out there pumping epic's engine for all its worth.

unreal domination was definately inspired by hotwheels turbo racing for psx. even the same song too. ps the song is fuel by metallica.

Lol, the way he says OMFGZOMBIESLOL is pricelss. As for not running UT3, lol, wtf? Its so easy to run, i used to run it on max with a +4200 x2 on standard clocks 1gb of ddr2 ram and a 7900gt, this was all at 40 fps constantly. Now i have 2gb of ram and a 3870xt, max at 60fps... The engines so brilliantly optimized its easy to run.
