Urho3D is a free lightweight, cross-platform 2D and 3D game engine implemented in C++ and released under the MIT license. Greatly inspired by OGRE and Horde3D.

Awesome clean code, really nice design. Many features which are often missing on other open source engines. Actively development and fun, lively community.
Really good, friendly community. The engine is under constant development and new features are always being added. Recently Lua support has been added and also experimental HTML5 support. DX3D11 Support is also in the works so that the Windows Store can be supported as well.
One of my favorite features is the the engine comes with a scene editor and the engine is component based. I want to make a game designed to be modded and this is perfect for me.
I'm a big fan of this engine, great features and community !
